For
our whipped cream dispenser, we
needed to find a way to raise the can of whipped cream, and then use the robot
to press the lever to dispense. We did this by suspending the can using a
plastic "cage" made of pieces from the NXT kit. The can is suspended
with the plastic bars, which are held up by an outside support. There is an ultrasonic sensor attached, which allows the
robot to detect the presence of the bowl for the ice cream. A trigger attached
to the robot pulls the lever on the can for 2 seconds to dispense.
